Below you
will find a comparison chart on the different BER energy rating certificates and
how they impact your annual energy bills - If You require any further
information please contact our BER assessors today we will be glad to answer any
questions your have on (Building Energy Rating Certificates).
What is the
difference between an A rated property and a G rated property and how much will I save by having a
better rating certificate ? If we take the below chart as our example -
assuming all properties are identical in size and the energy cost is
(€0.14/kWh) kilo
Watt per hour the only difference. You will see a house that has an energy
rating certificate of A1 / A2 / A3 will save more money annually on their energy
bills.
As you will
see the graph starts at A1 rating and finishes at G rating Green to red. If
your property is rated anywhere between A1 and B3 your property will save a
sigifigant amount of energy per year. If your property rating is any where
between C1 & Rating G your property is loosing heat through various parts of
your house, this maybe by inadequate insulation and draughts or other
means.
